What is KANSHITSU ?
KANSHITSU is one of the technique of the statue production in the Orient swelled with lacquer ( japan , URUSHI ) put on hemp cloth and heaped up the thing which kneaded a mixture of lacquer and woodspoon flour, and to form an image.

The beauty and toughness in tools or goods which lacquer was painted are evaluated as a folkcraft, and the lacquering to glisten black is used for tableware and high quality furniture, a musical instrument. with are called lacquerware. The lacquer resists heat and moisture, acid, alkali. Because there are prevention of corruption, the effect of the insecticide, it is suitable for tableware and furniture. On the other hand, it is deteriorated when received ultraviolet rays. In addition, it is cracked when exposed toyusuke extreme drying states for a long term and peeled out. A lacquered traditional color as the paint is black and vermilion.
