UHMW-PE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene) is an extremely tough and abrasion resistant thermoplastic that is used for applications that require durability and/or abrasive wear resistance.

Applications of UHMWPE -

l  Because UHMWPE has excellent abrasion resistance it is often used for liningchutes and hoppers, in order to protect metal surfaces and promote the flow of solid materials such as sand, wood chips, or coal.

l  UHMWPE is also used for slide ways and wear blocks in aggressive environments.

l  UHMWPE Sheet is often found in food production environments where high volumes of containers need to be guided along conveyors or production lines.

l  Because UHMWPE Sheet has very low moisture absorption, it is also found in some high demand areas of marine applications.

l  UHMWPE is sometimes used in cryogenic components due to its low operating temperature abilities.
