How to care cast iron products
Iron Kettle (Tetsubin)
When start using Tetsubin, pour boiled water and empty it for a few times.
During 15 days, after you pour boiled water, empty it immediately. Put it away after inside of Tetsubin is dry up.
Gradually you will see reddish rust and fur. They effect water natural sweet taste, and make tea tasty. Keep them in the Tetsubin.
For daily care, wipe surface of the Tetsubin with wrung cloth. At this time, don’t touch inside of the Tetsubin.
Put a shelf after the Tetsubin dries up completely.
Grill Pan / Pot
Wash the pan with hot water, and heat it up until it gets dried.
Put cooking oil in the pan, fry waste vegetables until the oil fits it.
Deep fry Pot
Wash the pan with hot water, and heat it up until it gets dried.
Cast iron products help to supply iron.
Cooked food with iron pots / pans contains a lot of iron more than the ones cooked with alminium or stainless steel ones. Long boiling and watery meals are effected more.
Eluted iron is bivalent iron which is easy to absorb in the body.
