1. Description
Wonder butyl self fusing silicone tape
It is our specialized product. It is an ethylene propylene rubber based high voltage tape possessing superior electrical, chemical, mechanical, and thermal properties. It is a self-amalgamating tape that fuses quickly yielding a void-free, electrically stable build-up. It is also compatible to all extruded dielectric cable insulation.
It is a versatile material for waterproofing, corrosion protection, jointing and repair of cables - used indoors and outdoors. Product properties and correct application ensure waterproof connections (for fresh and sea water) in a wide range of temperatures.
2. Features

1. Wide operating temperature range: -40 ... +80 oC
2.Compatibility with a wide range of rubber and plastic dielectric cable insulation (e.g. PE, PVC, butyl, neoprene)
3.High resistance to prolonged immersion in water and excellent resistance to ozone;
4.The tape can be removed cleanly from most surfaces - ideal for temporary repairs;
5.The tape is interleaved with a disposable plastic liner.
- Applicable to voltage up to 10KV
- Conducto working temperature at 75°C
- Conforem to overload character of rubber plastic cables when conductor emergency over temperate at 90°C or short circuit temperature at 150°C
Remove lsolating film before use and stretch the tape about 200°C of it's originallength and then wrap in a continuous and half lap ever mode.
4. Use Method:
When in use, stretch the tape to 200% in length; wrap at least 3-5 laps by continuous semi overlapping, then use PVC electric tape to wrap 3-5 layers for protection purpose. The working temperature shall not exceed 80°C.
