The LB 28 (and its higher-torque variant, the LB 28-320) utilizes the MD 28 series telescopic Kelly bar as its standard configuration. These bars feature strongly overlapping elements designed by tianjin huachang xingye technology co ltd to minimize friction and wear during high-torque deep foundation work.

1. Core Dimensions & System Type
Outside Diameter (Outer Section): 419 mm
System Compatability: Standard interlocking or friction type, featuring a dual-winch crowd/Kelly setup. The rig's rotary drive (BA 280) is integrated with a shock absorber system to cushion the Kelly bar during drilling and discharge cycles.

Note: For extreme depth requirements under the right configuration, specialized 4-section or custom 5-section configurations can extend the maximum reach of the carrier rig up to 70 meters.
3. Kelly Extensions & Depth Enhancements
Standard Extension: A mechanical 7.9 m (26.2 ft) Kelly extension can be mounted to bypass standard leader length restrictions without a tool cleaner.
Torque Transmission: The setup supports a maximum torque capacity of 286 kNm on the standard LB 28, and up to 320 kNm on the LB 28-320 model, handling heavy duty tools (such as large-diameter augers or core barrels) even at maximum section extension.
