Principle:

The bimetal springs consists of two or more metallilc strips with different thermal expansion bonded together, when heated up it bends in a pre-determined manner and can be used to monitor, measure and regulate temperature. 

Application:

The bimetal spiral coil's main applications are in thermostats for heating chamber or fan clutch of the heavy vehicles and high-end cars.

The bimetal coil is also widely used in temperature control device, temperature protection device, temperature indicator system and temperature detection device of home appliances, temperature instruments, automobiles,machinery,etc.

Bimetal is also manufactured as disc material to very close tolerances which give a snap action at a given.
