Instructions
As with all precision tools,proper use and care is required to assure proper threading and longest tool life.The inexperienced user should carefully read these instructions.
- START FROM PROPER SIDE
The side with chamfered(beveled)threads is the starting size.
- RIGHT ANGLE
The tap or die must be started at a right angle to the work piece and this angle must be.maintained to assure straight accurate threads.
- SAFETY GLASSES
Foreign objects may be thrown into the eyes while using any cutting tool.Always wear safety glasses or eye shields during the use of cutting tools.
- LUBRICATION
Using the proper lubricant results in smoother,cleaner,and more accurately formed threads while it also has a bearing on longer tool life.The lubricant should be applied to the cutting edges during the threading operation.
