Material:
100% polypropylene
Quality:
The cheap weed control sheeting, which can often be found on the market, is made of simple, extremely thin black plastic foil with many small holes. However, these foils are neither permeable to water nor breathable. They tear quickly upon contact with smaller stones, roots or when being pulled. There is a risk of fungi or mould forming underneath these plastic foils because they are not permeable to air over the entire surface.
We on the other hand, provide a special, high quality fleece fabric, which is breathable and permeable to water over the entire surface. It was specifically developed for the use in gardens, is extremely tear resistant and has innumerable fine pores, which can only be seen when magnified
The water permeability of the weed control fleece can be seen well in the magnified image, in which the fleece was formed into a small pouch and then, filled with water
1. Prepared bed
2. The weed control fleece can be easily cut to the respective size using scissors
3. The plants are positioned on the fleece according to requirements
4. Cut an “X” into the spot, where the plant is to be planted – a carpet cutter or scissors can be helpful for this purpose
5. Dig out a planting hole in the cut out spot and put the plant into it
6. After inserting the plant, wrap the four cut out corners closely around the stem of the plant, to prevent weeds from sprouting directly by the plant
7. Then, cover the weed control fleece with a layer of approx. 5-10 cm of mulch material (e.g. bark mulch) to protect it against direct sunlight
