Floral foam can also called Flower foam or Water absorbent sponge, it is a kind of flower products made from phenolic foam plastics. It is a kind of special tool for flower fixing and supporting. The foam itself is very light like plastic, after water absorbed, it heavy like lead. The foam are used for inserting flower basket and wide-mouth shallow flower organ.
The foam should be cut to a suitable shape and dimension, then put it into water to absorb water before using. By this, the flower materials can be fixed and also can keep water. The upper side and the four sides can be used, it’s easy to be used.
Floral foam can be used in the following fields:
1.As growing media,Floral foam are widely used in modern agricultural production base, it is one of the main raw materials of soilless culture water and biological matrices. It has been successfully used in washing-free rice planting, fresh cut flowers planting such as Anthurium andraeanum, Hydroponic type vegetable planting, planting a variety of seeds seedling such as watermelon and so on. It also can be used for cuttage propagation such as Begonia seedlings, Chinese rose, Rose, Chrysanthemum etc.
2.Medical transportation and other logistics and transportation industry. Constant temperature ice bag made by foam has cold storage, constant temperature effect. Foam has plasticity, water keeping and saving, repeated use and so on advantages, it has been widely used in logistics.
3.Water purification, up to now it has been used for fish tank, fish pond, industrial water purification.
