SHIPPING
Modes of Shippment
Ground, Ship and Air
Ground:
Land or "ground" shipping can be by train or by truck. Ground transport is typically more affordable than air, but more expensive than sea especially in developing countries like India, where inland infrastructure is not efficient.
Shipment of cargo by trucks, directly from the shipper's place to the destination, is known as a door to door shipment and more formally as multimodal transport. Trucks and trains make deliveries to sea and air ports where cargo is moved in bulk.
Ship:
Much shipping is done aboard by actual ships. On rivers and canals, barges are often used to carry bulk cargo.
Air:
Cargo was transported by air in specialized cargo aircraft and in the luggage compartments of passenger aircraft. Air freight is typically the fastest mode for long distance freight transport, but also the most expensive.
304 Stainless Steel
304 stainless steel has a high resistance to rust. It will withstand corrosion from most oxidizing acids and is often used for kitchen and food applications. However, it is susceptible to corrosion from chloride solutions (notably saline environments with high amounts of sodium chloride). Chloride ions can create localized areas of corrosion, called "pitting," which can spread beneath protective chromium barriers to compromise internal structures. Solutions with as little as 25 ppm of sodium chloride can begin to have a corrosive effect.
304 grade is the most common form of stainless steel used around the world. It contains between 16 and 24 percent chromium and up to 35 percent nickel—as well as small amounts of carbon and manganese. The most common form of 304 stainless steel is 18-8, or 18/8, stainless steel, which contains 18 percent chromium and 8 percent nickel.

Austenitic steels ensure a versatile balance of strength, workability and corrosion resistance, making them ideal for outdoor architectural and landscape applications. The benefits of stainless steel include a long service life that will retain an attractive, clean finish with low maintenance cost. It also maintains a high value if and when equipment and parts need to be decommissioned.
