- CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN BEFORE USING THE ICE BAG. DIRECT APPLICATION OF AN ICE BAG TO THE SKIN CAN CAUSE FROSTBITE. INSPECT THE SKIN EVERY 4 MINUTES,IF ANY DISCOLORATION OR REDNESS OCCURS DISCONTINUE USE AT ONCE.
- ICE BAG SHOULD NOT BE USED BY INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE SENSITIVE TO TEMPERATURE EXTREMES. INDIVIDUALS WITH CIRCULATORY PROBLEMS, DIABETES, NERVE DAMAGE, PARALYSIS OR SENSITIVE SKIN SHOULD ONLY USE ICE BAGS UNDER A PHYSICIANS ADVICE.
- DO NOT APPLY HOT WATER TO THE BAG AS IT MAY DAMAGE THE INTERIOR OF THE BAG.
STEP: 1 Remove the cap from the ice bag by turning it counter clockwise. Fill the ice bag with ice water, crushed ice or ice cubes and replace the cap. Make sure the cap is put back on tightly to prevent any leaks while the ice bag is in use. |
STEP: 2 Place the ice bag on your knee. The item can be used on the right or left knee. Do not apply the ice bag directly on the skin. |
STEP: 3 Wrap the support straps around the back part of your knee as illustrated above. Secure the item using the hook and loop fasteners. To keep the item in place secure the middle strap first and adjust the ice bag as needed before securing the remaining straps.If neededloosen straps for comfort and support. |
