Exceptional Shading and without Heat

As we know, polycarbonate is the clearest of all plastic resins.  How do we add shading properties effectively?  Coloring is clearly not the best solution. 

At VULCAN Plastics we developed Ti-Lite; integrating TiO2 (Titanium Dioxide) along with other secret ingredients to cope with the blazing sun. 

The result is a product with excellent shading properties (46% light transmission rate), and exceptional heat reflective properties (temperature drop of 7°c~15°c depending on the relative temperature and humidity).

Production Method

• Co-Extrusion ensures evenly spread, evenly thick base material and UV coating. (A chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link.)

Base Material

• 100% Virgin UV included raw material ensures that your sheets can withstand harmful UV rays for at least one year.

UV400 Coating

• Co-extruded with the Base Material, our Optical Grade UV400 resin from Sumitomo Dow Chemicals Co., LTD (Now Sumitomo Styron), blocks harmful UV rays from 280~400nm. With UV400 coating, VULCAN Polycarbonate sheets are able to last 10 years or more.

Ti-Lite Technology

• Ti-Lite provides excellent shading properties (Reduced VIS – 380~780nm), and exceptional heat reflective properties (Controlled NIR – 780~2500nm).

Light Transmission Rate:

• Excellent shading Properties – 46% light transmission rate

Heat Reflective Properties:

• Temperature drop of 7°c~15°c depending on the relative temperature and humidity.

VULCAN Polycarbonate Ti-Lite Metallic Green Sheets comes in 4 different Corrugated Profiles - ROMA, TRIMDEK, GRECA, MINI and 2 different Solid Profiles - SOLID FLAT and SOLID EMBOSSED/TEXTURED.

VULCAN Polycarbonate Sheets can be made to order and cut to length as per customer request.

Any specification of either profile within their respetive production range on the Profile Table above can be produced.

Minimum Order Quantity is 10 tons per profile.

All sheets are co-extruded with SD Polyca Optical Grade UV400 coating and are warranted for 10yrs under normal circumstances*.

We are also the first Polycarbonate manufacturer in Asia to incorporate Class 5000 clean rooms for our extrusion lines. (the maximum number of particles per cubic foot of air of diameter greater or equal to 0.5 µm is 5000).
