Sunlight Without Heat
VULCAN Pearly GREEN and Pearly RED Greenhouse Farm sheet uses translucent heat reflecting pigments. These pigments have the unique property of reflecting the sunlight‘s invisible heat radiation, while allowingthe majority of the visible light to pass.
VULCAN Polycarbanate Pearly sheet provides outstanding characeristics for translucent systems in architecture and horticulture, as well as for all applications where a lot of light is needed but little heat is desired. Whether in skylights, greenhouses, blinds or conservatories, VULCAN Polycarbonate Pearly sheet abosrbs little visible light while reducing heat considerably. Depending on theindividual application conditions, rooms are up to 15°C cooler compared to non-pigmented systems.
VULCAN Pearly Green sheets are especially suitable for use in archetecture since themaximum transmission of the passing light is in the green area of the visible light - exactlywhere the human eye is most light sensitive.
VULCAN Polycarbonate Corrugated Pearly GREEN sheet uses 100% Virgin resin from Mitsubishi Japan, with added weather resistant grade Pearly GREEN pigment.
VULCAN Polycarbonate Corrugated Pearly GREEN sheet has a Lilac/Greenish Hue, and creates a significant drop in temperature (Depending on the individual application conditions, rooms are up to 15°c cooler compared to non-pigmented systems), owing to its ability to block harmful UV and IR rays.
Since Pearly GREEN was specially designed for humans and living organisms, and focuses more on it's cooling abilities.
As with all of our polycarbonate products, VULCAN Pearly uses optical grade UV400 resin from Sumitomo Dow Chemicals Japan to protect itself from harmful UV rays.
VULCAN Polycarbonate Sheets are produced using advanced Co-Extrusion process to ensure an evenly UV coated surface. We use feedblocks from EDI (Extrusion Dies Inc.) and the extrusion process is controlled from Dynisco systems.
Impurity leads to less quality, which is why VULCAN Polycarbonate sheets are produced in clean rooms; the cleaner the environment, the cleaner the sheets, and hence a longer lifespan.
VULCAN Pearly Series can be made into the following Profiles:
Optional Plus+ surface treatment provides added light softening properties. (MOQ required)
