General Description
Wall Wrap is specifically designedfor use as a tear resistant, radiant barrier and weatherprotection in wall cavities.
Product Description
Wall Wrap is manufactured from reinforced, aluminiumfoil laminated with fire retardant to a wovenpolymeric fabric.
Applications
Wall Wrap is used in brick veneer exterior walls. The primary purpose of Wall Wrap is to protect against dirt, dust, draughts andcondensation. Its integral thermal insulation propertiesadds to the energy efficiency of the wall system whena non ventilated air space is provided to the reflectivefoil side. Additionally, the installation of Wall Wrap will add to the overall thermal performanceof the wall when a clear airspace of at least 20mm ormore is provided at the reflective side of the foil face.Tough enough to withstand the rigours of construction, it allows work to progress inside the home beforethe brick work is completed. However, being a secondary walling material, Wall Wrap is not designed to withstand prolonged direct exposure to the elements. Accordingly, upon application of this product the outer wall cladding should be installed without delay. Reducing glare from the external face of a building is an important site construction and road safety requirement. Wall Wrap has a green backing which is installed to the outside of the building to reduce reflection to acceptable levels.
