Some introduction about light physiological functions:

• Green light

Green light can work well with red and blue for the plant growth.With mere red&blue,the plant color turns into mild grey-purple,making it hard to diagnose disease and disorder.Green effect is in opposite of red&blue’s.For example,green inverts the effect of stomatal opening caused by blue.Under the stong white light,quantum yield of photosynthesis for the upper surface chlorophyll is lower than the underneath.Because penetration of the green is better than red&blue,the underneath absorbs more green light to push photosynthesis.It’s not considered in the situation of low PPFD,low density&canopy thickness plants,except high PPFD,high density and canopy thickness.

• Yellow and orange light

Yellow,orange,green and purple lights are important but in small demand. Spinach seedling grows better with red,blue and yellow light.Yellow is the most effective in the nutritional quality of lettuce.Adding yellow&purple light helps strengthen photosynthetic capacity for cherry and tomato seedling,easing the weak red&blue light stress.Purple and blue light improves activity of antioxidant enzyme which delays the plant aging,while red,green and yellow are correlated negatively to the effect.
