The cutter suction dredge consists of a large barge shape vessel that normally doesn’t have propulsion equipment and is mobilized to the job site by other vessels. It has centrifugal pump on board that are used to pump slurry (mixture of solids and water) to a disposal location. The dredge has a ladder that supports the cutter and cutter drive unit and the suction line leading to the suction side of the dredge pump. At the end of the suction line and cutter drive shaft is the cutter head that is used to loosen and cut sediment that must be removed from the bottom of the waterway. The cutter may have special teeth for excavating the bottom. The excavated material is mixed with the surrounding water and drawn up the suction pipeline due to the low pressure created by the pump on the suction side. The dredged material may consist of clay, silts, sands and gravel and the slurry may be as much as 20% sediments by volume and the other 80% is the ambient fluid. In some cases, an additional pump may be located on the ladder when dredging depth is deep in order improve production due to cavitation limitations.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
First the hydraulic cutter in the ladder cuts sediment below water, and makes it loosen then dredged sand moved by the rotated cutter mixes with water and form liquid medium.Then the sand liquid in the inner cutter blade and beside the marine pump suction functioned by the fluid power of sand pump, enters sand pump, meanwhile, get some energy, at last, it is discharged to the destination through discharge pipe.
APPLICATIONS & USE
PURPOSE: The cutter suction dredger is mainly used for dredging harbor, river channel, lake or lagoon or pond, or dredging sand for building.
Working conditions: Max. Temperature40℃ ; Min. Temperature -10℃; Max. Water Temperature32℃; Relative Humidity less than 70%.
1. Packing
All the dredgers and machines have no package. We load all the goods in the container without package.If you just order some small parts or engines or machines, we should put the goods inside the wood box.
2. Loading
We would put all the small parts inside the pontoons or boxes. we would depart the dredgers into several parts, so we can put it in the container. If we can't put it in the container, we have to order the bulk cargo.
3. Shipping
We will choose the cheapest and fastest ship for the customer. if all the goods can put in the container, we won't order the bulk cargo ship, if it can't, we have to order the bulk cargo ship, if you just order several small machines, and it can't be full of one container, we will send it by LCL (less than container load).
