Introduction:

Our conmpany can produce DTH drill bit from 85mm to 1000mm in diameter, drill bit spline type can used with the DTH hammer that produced by our company or other well-known brands of the copany (such as DHD,COP, SD, QL,MACH,MISSION, BR, NUMA) matching.

 

DTH is short for "down the hole". The down-the-hole drilling is used to produce large-diameter holes in rocks, usually in the initial stage prior to blasting, but it is also used in non-blasting applications. DTH drilling are used mostly in mining quarries but can be used in a variety of other construction applications. The DTH drilling method is growing in popularity, with increases in all application segments, including blast-hole, water well, foundation, oil & gas, cooling systems and drilling for heat exchange pumps. Applications were later found for the DTH method underground, where the direction of drilling is generally upwards instead of downwards.

 

DTH Bit Face Designs

Flat Face Bit: Flat Face (F) design for medium hard to hard formations, good flushing and good penetration rates.

Convex Bit: Convex (V) design with double gauge row for medium to hard and abrasive formations, good flushing and good penetration rates.

Concave Bit: The all-purpose Concave (C), for soft to medium hard formations, straight holes, excellent flushing and fast penetration rates.

Concave/Convex Bit: Concave/Convex Bit(X) the best of both worlds with double gauge row and concave center for medium to hard and abrasive formations, straight holes, excellent flushing and excellent penetration rates.

Cyclops Bit: Cyclops unique single port design maximizes bit strength and minimizes the risk of bit head splitting or chunking caused by operational and manufacturing induced fatigue stress.

 

Features

In the hole range 100-254 mm (4"-10"), DTH drilling is the dominant drilling method today (especially when the hole depth is greater than 20 meters). The main features of DTH drilling in this hole range are:
• Excellent hole straightness within 1.5% deviation without guiding equipment.
• Good hole cleaning with plenty of air for the hole cleaning from the hammer.
• Good hole quality with smooth and even hole walls for easy charging of explosives.
• Deep hole drilling capacity with constant penetration and no energy losses in joints.
• Efficient energy transmission.
• The disturbance to the ground is kept minimum, and for drilling rock, the penetration rate is outstandingly high. 
• More cost-effective than the conventional rotary drilling.
