The history of waste lubricating oil regeneration technology is about several decades since 1970s and 1980s 

 

in China. It encounters many difficulties and opportunities and the development experienced up and down, but 

 

it made a lot of progress. Its development is as follows:

 

 

 I. The development of technology

 

 

Waste lubricating oil regeneration goes through several steps

 

 

1. The simple refining phase

 

 

In 1970s and 1980s, some stateowned or collective enterprise collected their waste lubrication oil to recyle it 

 

by a simple refining process for their own use. It includes filtration, sedimentation or acid-bases treatment.

 

 

2.Simple distillation+Refining

 

 

In 1990s, Chinese enterprises start to use simple distillation and refining for oil reuse. The simple distillation is 

 

to vacuumize by water and steam. The vacuum degree can reach at thousands Pa at maximum, even ten thou

 

sands Pa. It’s workable way if the used oil condition is not so bad. However, along with the varieties increase of

 

 lubrication additives, the simple distillation cannot produce the qualified oil and has limitation. The initial refinin

 

g process is acid-bases treatment and then high temperature white clay refining and the solvent refining.

 

 

3 High vacuum distillation-complex refining

 

 

With the development of the vacuum technology, high vacuum unit technology’s maturity, people start to use 

 

high vacuum technique. The high vacuum will reduce the distillation temperature to below 300 degree, so the 

 

quality of the treated oil is raised obviously, and the refining starts develop to the complicated way.

 

 

 II. Our company’s manufacturing technique

 

 

Waste oil regeneration technology mainly formed of four parts: pretreatment + distillation + refining + reconciliation.

 

 

Pretreatment: flocculation + filtration.

 

 

Distillation: air distillation + reduced pressure distillation + high vacuum distillation.

 

 

Refining: acid-base clay refining or solvent refining

 

 

Reconciliation: can supply lube or transformer oil etc.’s reconcile solutions.
