This PowerLink TS01 mechanical plug-in timer features one grounded outlet and can handle up to 15 amp resistive loads, 10 amp tungsten lighting loads, or 1/2 hp motor loads at 125 VAC. This timer features multiple on/off time settings over a 24-hour period that can be set in 30-minute intervals. It is also compatible with LED and CFL lights. This mechanical timer is ETL listed for quality assurance and is suitable for use indoors to control lighting and appliances.
Time switches (also known as timers) are used to automatically turn electrical devices on or off at preset time intervals during a daily or weekly period. Timers can either be mechanical or electronic. Mechanical timers feature a dial with multiple pins to set the on/off time intervals. Electronic timers feature an LCD display and pushbuttons to set the time intervals. Timer switches have one or more device outlets or circuit contacts, and can be used to control indoor lights, outdoor lights, appliances, and small equipment motors.
