Limestone introduction:
Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed largely of the minerals calcite and aragonite, which are different crystal forms of calcium carbonate (CaCO3).
It is the raw material for the manufacture of quicklime (calcium oxide), slaked lime (calcium hydroxide), cement and mortar.
Lime rotary kiln introduction :
Limestone rotary kiln is mainly used for heating and calcining various mineral materials in metallurgy, construction, and ores etc, such as ceramsite sand, bauxite, limestone, cement, metal magnesium, alumina, hydroxide alumina, fly ash , high aluminum refractory materials, etc.

Lime rotary kiln for lime production:
Lime production process:
Raw material feeding
The limestone/dolomite in the plant yard will be carried by tractor shovel and feed to hopper, it will be discharged from hopper to vibrating feeder and sent to vibrating screen for screening through belt conveyor.The size >20mm will be send to pre-heater by conveyor. And size less than 20mm will be carried away.
Calcination
The limestone/dolomite in the preheater will be preheated by the hot air, then it will be discharged to rotary kiln through chute that connecting preheater and kiln, it will stay in the kiln for 1.5-2 hours for calcination, during the process, it will be calcined with the temperature around 1300 degree, limestone decomposition, release of CO2, become quick lime. then lime moves to vertical cooler for cooling.
lime/calcined dolomite conveying
Lime will be discharged to a chain conveyor by vibrating feeders in the bottom of vertical cooler, it will be lifted to storage hopper by bucket elevator. So the lime in the storage hopper for dispatch.
Dust filtering
There are two dust filtering system, one is in the kiln inlet, dust will be filtered by bag filter then the clean gas will be release to air.
Application of Lime rotary kiln :
It can be used in building materials, metallurgy, chemical industry, cement plant for drying of limestone slag, coal powder, slag, clay stone,etc.
