Working principle of charcoal briquette extruder machine
Making use of the inherent characteristic of lignin material and by means of screw extrusion to grind ,compress and extrude the loose biomass into briquettes.
The machine force the lignin in raw materials plasticizing and the materials become bar-shaped hollow fuel under high temperature and high pressure condition.
Lignin serves as the glue in the briquetting process,binds the particles of wood together. So during this process,no binder needs to be used.
Application and Characteristics of charcoal briquette extruder machine
Briquette machine is kind of renewable energy equipment and the materials (powders of sawdust, Straw, rice hull and other crop waste) can be extruded into bar-shaped hollow fuel in very short time under high temperature and high pressure.
So the briquettes have such advantages of high heating value and no pollution with kinds of shape as round,cylindrical and cubic of 50-80mm diameter,
so the output briquettes is a type of clean and green fuel that is ideal for use in furnace,boiler,home cooking/heating and open fires.
The machine has automatic temperature control system and is designed with reasonable structure and easy maintenance.
The briquettes have the advantages of easily kindling, high calorific (20% higher than the normal wood), low pollution when burning, high density, convenience in transportation and store.
And most important role of briquette machine played is to recycle the agro-waste and improve the status of traditional energy shortage.

Problem and Solution
a) No briquette bar coming out and materials returning:
Root cause: a. too low temperature;
b. too high pressure from propeller
Solution: a. increase the temperature;
b. increase the lift angle of screw thread and reduce the pressure
b) Vertical cracks:
Root cause: a. too high temperature
b. the obliquity of propeller is too big
c. molding damaged
Solution: a. decrease the temperature
b. modify the obliquity perpendicular to axis direction
c. replacement or modification.
c) Sawdust spouts out of middle:
Root cause: a. too low temperature
Solution: a. increase the temperature
d) The bar not straight:
Root cause: a. heating is not even.
Solution: a. increase the temperature.
e) Crackles in some face:
Root cause: a. the heating is not even
Solution: a. adjust the position of heating ring,
f) Briquetting not continuously:
Root cause: a. power of heating ring not enough
b. materials not dry enough
c. temperature of raw materials not even.
Solution: a. replace with high power heating ring
b. increase the drying temperature
c. input materials after cooling & adopting the automatic feeding device.
g) Quality of briquette not stable:
Root cause: a. temperature of raw materials not even
Solution: a. input materials after cooling & adopting the automatic feeding device
Working procedure of charcoal briquette extruder machine
a) Before start, turning the belt pulley by hand to check there is jam or not.
b) Before start, tighten all screws and three jackscrews in heater.
c) When finishing continuous production, before stop, make sure the hopper empty and reverse the propeller for 1 minute, then stop the machine.
d) When beginning the next production, do not start the machine until the temperature reach 350°C. In the beginning, control the quantity of materials and do not increase the quantity until the briquette bar is produced.
e) In production, pay attention to the electric current and voltage to avoid the motor damaged.
f) When propeller stop running, shut the machine immediately, reverse the propeller, clear the materials in the hopper and increase the temperature. When temperature is 20°Chigher than the target, start the machine again and follow the steps to produce.
g) Forbid persons standing in front of inlet.
h) Keep wires of equipment dry and clean. Cut the power after machine is stopped.
i) Forbid stones and scrap irons dropping into the hopper. Once exceptions happen, stop the machine immediately.
j) For the first time,add 500ml gear oil into the special filler hole which located under the outer cover of feeder as below and keep normal operation for 15days,then to open the discharge hole to let the oil came out,
This is a run-in period. But from the second time ,you could add oil here every two months.
