milk cooling tank specification
1. Tank of proven design, milk tank horizontal or cylindrical type, low built in height, manually clean type
designed for easy cleaning and maintenance.
2. The evaporator of the tank is comparatively high to have a high cooling performance.
3. The agitator can be self lubricating 36rpm.
4. The net capacity of the milk chilling tank at least 10% higher than the rated capacity to avoid accidental spillage of milk.
5. The milk collected can be stored in the milk chilling tank and cooled from ambient temperature 34oC (+/-) 3oC to 2~ 4oC within 3 hours.
6. Specified milk chilling tank is direct expansion cooling type.
7. The tank is designed as per the ISO dairy standard, to state of art and hygiene aspects.
8. Thermal insulation material is Ozone friendly.

10. The milk outlet pipe is constructed from food grade stainless steel according to the ISO dairy standard and have a minimum inner diameter of at least 38 mm dia. and outlet valves is fitted and have not more than two detachable hygienic joints.
The valve is made from food grade stainless steel according to the ISO standard and easily installed and dismantled by means of a SMS union arrangement. The ground clearance under the outlet pipe fitting ( valve opening ) shall be in the range of 100 mm – 300 mm. Facility to measure volume ( mark on the inside tank ).
11. Capability to install the tanks island wide.
12. To be comprised a voltage stabilizer / Control panel ( 3 phases ....... V ........ HZ )
13. Providing certificated of which type of stainless steel used for the tanks. ( Specify the Grade of stainless steel & thickness of the following items such as Outer tank, inner tank, intermediate tank and the lid )
14. Availability of past track records should be provided.( in Sri Lanka )
15. Availability of consumable spares free of charge for one year.
16. Availability of standard certificates and catalogues.
17. Minimum warranty period not less than one year.
18. The coolant should be CFC free and Ozone friendly, preferably R 404 A.
19. Electrical power for compressor, condenser fan & agitator – 3 phases ....... V ........ HZ
20. Milk Chilling Tank, compressor, condenser fan, agitator & other electrical component mark, model & Country of origin to be specified.
21. Selected bidder shall be responsible to arrange maintenance & Operational training staff nominated by the buyer to minimize break downs.
22. Availability of control system for agitator interval & cooling. The digital Thermometer to be comprised in the tank.
23. Facility to attend for urgent repairs and maintenance respect to refrigeration, and fabrication ( Stainless Steel ) for chilling tanks. Sources to be mentioned.
24. Availability of free standing type with adjustable legs.
25. Agitator motor should be on the brackets that bears tilting steel lid. Agitator to be controlled thermostatically.
26. Index of protection of motors to be IP 65. Mention the index of protection.
