Plate heat exchanger is the ideal equipment that liquid-liquid, liquid-gas to change heat. It has advantages of high thermal efficiency, small heat loss, compact structure, small covering area, convenient installation and washing, wide range of application, and long service life etc. In the same pressure loss situation, the heat transfer coefficient is 3 to 5 times higher than pipe heat exchanger. And its covering area is about a third of the pipe heat exchanger, heat recovery rate can up to 90%.

Usages of Plate Heat Exchanger

 

    Widely used in metallurgy, mine, petroleum, chemical industry, electric power, medicine, food, chemical fiber, paper making, textile, ship, heating and other departments, can be used for heating, cooling, evaporation, condensation, sterilization and waste heat recovery.

 

Structure of Plate Heat Exchanger

 

    Plate heat exchanger is formed by the fixed paddles, the plate, mobile baffle, pole, up and under guider and retaining bolt. Between the fixed paddles and mobile baffle, there is a series of fixed plate. Every piece of plate is with gasket, so a parallel closing port is formed, medium alternately flows in every two pieces of plates.

 

Characteristics of Plate Heat Exchanger

 

1. high efficiency and energy saving: its heat transfer coefficient is in 3000 to 4500 kcal/m2 · ° C · h, 3 ~ 5 times higher than tubular heat exchanger.
2. compact structure: plates are closely arranged, compared with other types of heat exchanger, plate heat exchanger has less covering area and space, the area is only 1/5 of the tubular heat exchanger.
3. easy clean and convenient disassembling: plate heat exchanger fixes the plates by clamping bolts, thus making disassembling convenient, can open to clean any time. The bright board face makes high turbulent degree, so it is not easy to scale.
4. long service life: plate heat exchanger uses stainless steel or titanium alloy plate for repression, can resistant to all kinds of corrosive medium. The pads can change at will, and convenient in maintenance.
5. strong adaptability: plates are all independent components, according to requirements, it can increase or decrease process at will, various in form. It also can be used in all kinds of different process requirements.
6. not string of liquid, the seal groove of plate heat exchanger is setted with discharge liquid way, each media will not in collusion, even the appearance of leak, the media always exudes.
