HOW DOES THE DSD WORKS?
All DSDs are equipped with a drill pole, the suction tube and water jet tube are attached to the drill pole. During dredging,DSD vertical move down the drill pole and rotates its drill , until the drill head digs into the sand layer of seabed, drill pole as a spud to lock the vessel into a stationary position. Then the water jet pump started, a high pressure water jet hits the sand layer to make high-tensity sand-water mixture, the dredged materials then sucked up and transported through a pipeline by dredge pump. The DSD will discharge the tailing to the disposal site via floating pipeline or hopper barges.

Drilling suction dredgers are widely using for deep-water sand dredging, underwater mining etc.
Working Conditions
Recommended use of the environment: with rock and gravel <50% (rivers, lakes, reservoirs, ports and other sand mining
project)
1.The range of adaptation to the environment: the temperature no higher than 40 degrees Celsius in summer and winter
temperatures not lower than -10 degrees Celsius,the air humidity is no more than 30%,wind power does not exceed 7 in
rivers.
2. River ore requirements: sand ratio is no less than 60% (clay content is no more than 10% scree content is no more than
15% gravel content is no more than 15% Wind Stone is no higher than 10%.)
3. The ship diesel engine should apply to the CIS countries grade use of fuel, oil.
4. The ship is equipped with night-time lighting system suitable for all weather conditions and working uninterrupted.
5. 2-3 persons operate the dredger every time.
Dredger Advantages
1. Construction: Suitable size, single deck, less draft and less displacement compare with similar vessel. Building in customers' worksite, structure is more stable.
2. Operating flexible , safety,and high efficiency.
Operation room is light-filled and wide view. PLC system is easily operated by one person. Operating flexible, safety, and high efficiency.
3. Self-propelled System.
Marine engines are installed at the end of dredger hull , self propelled marine engines can increase the efficiency of a standard cutter suction dredger by about 20%, due to the reduction in the amount of time taken to step forward.
4. Drill pole
During dredging ,the drill pole is dropped end to make sure that it penetrate the soil deeply enough to be secure. The hoisting system can raising up or lowing down the drill pole of a required depth(0to110m). Drill pole as a spud to lock the vessel into a stationary position, meanwhile, pumping slurry vertically out of water through a suction hose which is installed in the drill pole. The drilling suction dredger can increase the slurry concentration by 10% and maximum the dredging depth to about 110m.

durability, lower oil consumption, standardized accessories and easy maintenance.

7. Discharge dredged material
The dredged materials will be transported through a pipeline by centrifugal dredge pumps or by discharge it into a hopper barge with a special loading system.
8. Assembly & Staff Training on worksite.
Our experienced installers will arrive at the construction site to guide, teach and training your crews to debug and operate the dredger .
