Chinese crude sunflower oil refining
Brief introduction of refining:
Crude oil refining workshop is through take off impurity, Degumming, decoloring,
deodorization, removeing wax, fractionation etc, to achieve different standards edible oil.
At present, Having four grade of edible oil, different oil grade have different requirement for
quality and machines.
It is suitable for refining various crude vegetable oil, such as sunflower oil, tea oil, groundnut
oil, cottonseed oil, palm oil, rice bran oil, soybean oil, corn oil and palm oil, etc.
What will be product oil like?
Main process of refining:
Brief introduction of main refining section:
1) Alkali refining
Pump crude oil into neutralization tank. When the oil is heated to 70-80 °C, the alkali water heated by hot water is delivered into the balance tank.
The reaction to rid off the acid starts.
2) Decolorizing
It adopts the clay to remove the color substances. Mix the oil and clay first.
After a short time, the color will be removed out of oil. Then the vibrating filter will be used to separate the oil and clay. The oil get from this step is called decolorizing oil.
3) Deodorizing
The function of this part is move the odour from the oil. The steam will play an important role in this processing. For most materials, this is the last step and edible oil have got.
4) Dewaxing
For rice bran oil, sunflower oil and corn embryo oil need the dewax process. The oil contains a lot of wax, which comes from the skin of oil seed.

Function of main machines:
(1) Refining section: used to P-acid de-gumming, alkali refining de-acid and water rinsing.
(2) Decoloring section: used to remove off pigments, bleaching oils and grease dehydrate.
(3) Deodorizing section: to remove off the odor components in oil.
(4) Dewax: used to remove off the wax in the oil, in order to get the high quality oil.
(5) Conduction oil furance: supply each device production needing heat energy, temperature
reach above 280°C.
(6) Steam generator: produce the needing steam for de-odoring and distillation.
(7) Vacuum pump: supply needing vacuum for dehydrate, de-color, de-odor. Vacuum degree
can reach above 755mm Hg.
(8) Press filter: filter clay, filter out clear oil.
(9) Air compressor: blow dry bleached clay, blow empty the leftover oil in the press filter.
