The Brief Description of Thrust Ball Bearing:
Thrust ball bearings consist of shaft washer, housing washer, steel balls and a cage. The ring matched with shaft is called shaft washer, matched with housing is called housing washer. According to the acceptance of situation divide into one-way thrust ball bearings and two-way thrust ball bearings. One-way thrust ball bearings can withstand one-way axial load. Two-way thrust ball bearings can withstand two-way axial load. Two-way thrust ball bearings with ring and shaft. The installation of housing washer are spherical bearings with self-aligning properties, can reduce the impact of installation errors. Thrust ball bearings can not bear radial load, and have a lower speed limits. They can be applied to steering system and main shaft of machinery.
Thrust ball bearings can be devided into single direction and double . Single direction thrust ball bearings, as their name suggests, can accommodate axial loads in one direction and thus locate a shaft axially in one direction. They must not be subjected to any radial load. Double direction thrust ball bearings can accommodate axial loads acting in both directions and can thus serve to axially locate a shaft in both directions. They must not be subjected to radial load.
