Mapp Gas
1.Mapp Gas is a stabilized mixture of various hydrocarbons,principally methyl acetylene and propadiene.
2.Mapp Gas produces a flame temperature(2,976°C) secondonl to acetylene when burened in oxygen.
3.Mapp Gas has a high release in its primary flame (inner cone )( 15,445kj/m3 ),slightly lower than that of acetylene (18,890 kj/m3) and much high than that of propane (10,433 kj/m3 ). Its secondary flame (outer cone) also gives off a high heat release,similar to propane and natural gas, and it can burn continuously for 3 hours under normal working condition.The weding temperature can reach 1350 °C and the combustion temperature can reach 1300°C
under anaerobic conditions.
4.Mapp Gas is available in disposable steel cylinder.
