Weichai WD615 series engineering engine is improved on the basis of WD615 series truck engine according the special requirement of engineering by absorbing advanced technology on fuel system, intake and exhaust system, cooling system, transmission system and power take-off system. It has high reliability and suitability. The output range is 118kW to 235kW with speed of 1800-2200rpm. It is the ideal power for wheel loader, bulldozer, and truck crane.
The Technological Improvement of WD615 Series Diesel Engine
In recent years, the engine has been improved and technologically innovated by optimizing the engine's performance:
1. By optimizing fuel supply system, intake and exhaust system, and combustion chamber, the fuel consumption has been reduced, and intake air volume has been increased. Low fuel consumption can be gain in wide output and speed range.
2. Developed cylinder block of patent to improve the reliability.
3. The quality of casting surface has been increased. Using stainless steel pipes and stainless steel heat isolation shell to improve the outlooking of the engine.

The engine has adopted the main-bearing structure with a high intensity cylinder block. The sound designed multi-function camshaft outline curve ensures the high reliability of the air distribution system. It is assembled with high-grade alloy-steel-forged connecting rod, wedgy connecting rod small end, whole-forged nitrified crankshaft, flexible designed strong bolts and other high quality spare parts. The strict quality assurance system and international purchase also help to guarantee the reliability and stability of the diesel engine. The engine can run without overhaul within ten thousand hours.
Strong power
The engine is developed on the basis of WD615 engine by optimizing its fuel system, air intake and exhaust system, cooling system, power output system and transmitting system. It has a high torque back-up. The torque back-up of the WD615 engineering diesel engine reaches to 30%.
High altitude performance:
The engine can work normally at 4000 meters above sea level. The plateau type WD615 diesel engine can work at 5000 meters above sea level.
Low temperature ignition:
The WD615 diesel engine can be started at -15°C without fixing the low-temperature ignition device and at -40°C with the device.
Economical on fuel:
The WD615 engineering diesel engine enjoys very low fuel consumption in a wide power and speed scope and good installing suitability. With most of the spare parts being universally used, the engine is easy to maintenance and its running cost is considerable low.
