Recommended Uses:

popular flange gasket material for hot or cold water, air and steam. All mating flanges wherever a quality rubber sheet is required. Remarks: Deforms to uneven flanges.

 

Properties:
• Its general properties are similar to those of Natural Rubber, but it is more resistant to ageing and temperature, and like Natural Rubber, these properties can be improved further by careful compounding.

• Temperature range: -50º C to +70º C.

• Due to its unsaturated molecular structure SBR materials tend to have only moderate resistance to tearing, ozone and general weathering. They do not have the same resilience as Natural Rubber.

• Resistance to Chemicals; good resistance to many inorganic chemical products
