About NexPVC, the Oxo-degradation PVC
With oxo-degradation additive, NexPVC has a faster biodegradation property.
This NexPVC Additiveis up to the standard of the: European Parliament and Council Directive 94/62/EC of 20 December 1994 on packaging and packaging waste According Article 11 Concentration levels of heavy metals present in packaging: 1. Member States shall ensure that the sum of Concentration levels of lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium present in packaging or packaging components shall not exceed the following: 100 ppm by weight five years after the date referred to in Article 22.
NexPVC does not add sulphur or cobalt or any salt related to those mentioned metals to the let down polymers.
Monolayer film
Ingredients are added to the base formula to make the PVC film biodegradable. Performance of the biodegradable PVC film is the same as the standard 100% PVC film. The NexPV film maintains its integrity under normal, everyday use.

The accelerated oven test acc. ASTM D3826 (D 5510):
The test simulates the degradation behavior under landfill conditions.
Test results:

Degradation:
Under normal waste stream conditions the material will start to disintegrate in the landfill area, during littering or in the compost.
Conclution:
The accelerated oven test acc. ASTM D3826 (D 5510), oven test at 80 °C: It shows that the film with Nexcowill disintegrate to embrittlement under the assumption of an average temperature level of 20 °C.

l The film will degrade under aerobe landfill conditions in ca. 1,6 – 2,4 Years
The accelerated test acc. ASTM D 5208-1:
The test simulates the degradation behaviour of the film under littering conditions.

Conclusion:
The accelerated test acc. ASTM D 5208-1, QUV at 60 °C
It shows that the film with Nexqo will disintegrate to embrittlement under the assumption of an average temperature level of 20 °C.

Generally
NexPVC gives both physical and molecular properties to the application in order to create a reliable and very flexible product for the customer. The left behinds can be easily worked into the soil or water that has no toxic effect. There are no ecologically damaging toxic remains during and after the NexPVC film biodegrades.
