This item may be used with 1 input cable and 2 output cables (as a splitter), or 2 input cables and 1 output cable (as an auto switch) - but please note if you intend to use this item with 2 input cables as a switch then only one device can be outputting a toslink light at any given time for it to work. Some devices will output a light via the toslink output even if in standby mode or 'off' state when no audio signal is being sent, please check your setup prior to purchase.
