1. Characteristics and Application of thrust ball bearing 52212
Thrust ball bearings are made up of series balls (with cage), a shaft washer (fit
tightly with axis), and a house
washer, balls are rotating between them. They only bear axial load in one direction,
not radial load. As the axial
load is evenly distributed on each ball, load capacity is very large. But the
temperature is higher during working,
allowing speed limit is lower. Thrust ball bearings are separable, single direction
thrust ball and double direction
thrust ball bearings according to their structures. The former can withstand axial
load in one direction, the later
can withstand axial load in both directions, but not bear radial load. They have the
structure with a seat, and the installation surface is spherical, it has a self-aligning
performance and reduces installation errors. So thrust ball bearings are mainly used
in
automotive, machine tool industries.

Thrust ball bearings consist of shaft washer, housing washer, steel balls and a cage. The ring matched with shaft is called shaft washer, matched with housing is called housing washer. According to the acceptance of situation divide into one-way thrust ball bearings and two-way thrust ball bearings. One-way thrust ball bearings can withstand one-way axial load. Two-way thrust ball bearings can withstand two-way axial load. Two-way thrust ball bearings with ring and shaft. The installation of housing washer are spherical bearings with self-aligning properties, can reduce the impact of installation errors. Thrust ball bearings can not bear radial load, and have a lower speed limits. They can be applied to steering system and main shaft of machinery.
Thrust ball bearings can be devided into single direction and double . Single direction thrust ball bearings, as their name suggests, can accommodate axial loads in one direction and thus locate a shaft axially in one direction. They must not be subjected to any radial load. Double direction thrust ball bearings can accommodate axial loads acting in both directions and can thus serve to axially locate a shaft in both directions. They must not be subjected to radial load.

52212 Thrust ball bearing is made up of housing ring, axis ring and steel ball maintains module. Which is match for axis is called axis ring, which is match for shell is called housing ring. According to the condition of accepting force, there are one-way thrust ball bearing and double-way thrust ball bearing. One-way thrust ball bearing can endure one-way axial load, and double-way thrust ball bearing can be subject to bi-directional load. Thrust ball bearing can not stand the radial load, the extreme rotation speed is very low.
