Introduction of Magnetic Separator

Yufeng CTB half upstream wet drum permanent magnetic separator is usually used for separating fine-grained iron magnetite from non-magnetic materials. Its composite magnetic system consists of high performance rare earth permanent magnet (main magnetic source) and ferrite permanent magnet. With a high magnetic field intensity, this machine can make a continuous row of ore feed and discharge. It also has enough working clearance and high processing capacity. Series CTB half upstream wet drum permanent magnetic ore separator is widely applied in the separation of various kinds of iron ores and gold ore. In order to increase the grade or capacity, several sets of wet drum magnetic separators can be installed in series connection or parallel connection.

Structure of Magnetic Separator

Yufeng CTB magnetic separator consists of magnetic drum, tank body, support, feed box, discharge box (ore concentrate box), drive motor, motor reducer, control box, etc. The magnetic drum is made of stainless steel (thickness: 3mm) and covered with wear resistant rubber.

Working Principle of Magnetic Separator

The mineral slurry flows into the cell through box feeder, the mineral particle is loose under the function of water flow of feeder

water pipe when they flow into the cell. Affected by magnetic field, the magnetic particle swarm together and form magnetic cluster or chain. With the magnetism of mineral slurry, the magnetic cluster or chain moves toward the magnetic pole, and is absorbed to the cylinder. Because of the polarity of magnetic pole, the revolving directions alternate constantly, and remain fixed when it is working. When the magnetic cluster and chain go round and round along with the cylinder, the mingled gangue and other non-magnetic ore fall down due to the mixing phenomena produced by alternation of magnetic poles, and it is concentrate that is absorbed to the cylinder surface. The concentrate moves to the end of magnetic system where the magnetism is weakest along with the revolving cylinder, and is discharged into concentrate tank by the current ejected by the discharging-ore pipe. The non-magnetic or weak magnetic remained are discharged along with the mineral slurry, and they are gangue.

Application of Magnetic Separator

Nickel and Cobalt Ores Mining &Dressing Magnetic Ore Separator is applicable for wet magnetic separation of materials such as magnetite, pyrrhotite, roasted ore and ilmenite whose size is less than 3 mm and also used for iron removal operation of materials such as coal, nonmetalliferous ore and construction material and so on.
