Ammonium citrate tribasic is also named triammonium citrate.It’s a tribasic salt of citric acid and produced by complete neutralisation of citric acid with high purity ammonium hydroxide. It occurs as white colorless crystals. It is freely soluble in water with nontoxic, neutral salt with low reactivity.And it easily deliquesces so that it should be kept in dry and airtight container .
Ammonium citrate tribasic is mainly used for chemical analysis,industry water treatment,
metal surface cleaning (petroleum pipeline cleaning),ceramic dispersant, auxiliary infiltration agent,detergent material and soil improvement agent component.It’s applied in medical and electronics industries.Ammonium citrate tribasic is also used for chemical reagent in analytical chemistry ,such as determinations of efficient phosphate in phosphate salts and fertilizer.It’s also applied for non cyanide plating complexing agent in electroplating industry,for preparing anti rust agent in machinery industry and as buffering agent,emulsifier in food industry etc.
