Perlite for the horticultural, construction and slag/foundry industry
Perlite is a raw material which, in its natural state, is a glassy volcanic rock containing a percentage of water.
During a process called "Expansion", Perlite is rapidly heated and expands up to twenty times its original size, due to the evaporation of the moisture from within.
Expanded Perlite is a lightweight, air entraining material, which is both absorbent and acts as a filter aid. It is sterile and both environmentally friendly and chemically neutral.
