Organic hemp seed oil is pressed from the seed of the hemp plant. Cold pressed, unrefined hemp oil is dark to clear light green in color, with a pleasant nutty flavor. The darker the color, the grassier the flavor. Refined hemp seed oil is clear and colorless, with little flavor and lacks natural vitamins and antioxidants. Refined hemp seed oil is primarily used in body care products. The oil is of high nutritional value because its 3:1 ratio of ω-6 to ω-3 essential fatty acids, which matches the balance required by the human body. Hemp seed oil can be used continuously without developing a deficiency or other imbalance of EFAs. Medical researches show: Hemp seed oil improves the function of optic verve and brain, enhances memory and reaction velocity.

The shelf life of the oil is two years if unopened in the original package. Once opened the oil should be blanketed under Nitrogen and used within six months.
