Calcium Aluminate (Premelted calcium aluminates residue) is mainly used for seperating the impurity elements,such as sulfur and oxygen in ladle refining of LF furnance,open hearth furnance and the converter furnance.And it can reduce the content of harmful elements and impurities,which is applicable for general carbon steel,high carbon steel,high and low alloy steel.Its applications have already been mature in some foreign countries,such as South Korea,Japan,the United States and the developed European countries.
calcium aluminate has the following characteristics
1. homogeneous, low melting point, melting fast, can shorten the refining time;
2. has a certain amount of sulfur melt, with addition of a small amount of lime used directly for hot metal desulfurization activity, and promote the removal of sulfur in steel, aluminum on steel, silicon and other oxides adsorption. Reduce non-metallic inclusions in steel. Help to improve the quality of steel;
3. erosion of the ladle lining and light, is the best substitute for fluorite;
4. non-absorbent, easy storage and transport;
5. the ingredients evenly, into the slag quickly, can reduce the steel plant dust
