Corundum self-flow castables without silica fume
1. Ingredient
Brown fused alumina:3-5mm 25%
1-3mm 15%
0-1mm 30%
White fused alumina:300mesh 12%
α-Al2O3 :4μm 3%
“RS” brand: calcium aluminate cement CA70 5%
“RS” brand: activated aluminium oxide RA05 10%
“RS” brand: super plasticizer RC01 0.3%
2. Operation
The above ingredients are dry mixing, after one minute, adding 5% water to stir them 3 minutes, the environment temperature is 25℃.
3. Inspection
Fluidity: exceeding the degree scale, it will flow into ground.
Construction time: >120 minutes
110℃ X 12 hours
Bending strength: >12Mpa compressive strength: 65.6Mpa
Volume density: 3.22g/cm3 shrinkage: --%
1000℃X2hours
Bending strength: >12Mpa compressive strength: 71.9Mpa
Volume density: 3.16g/cm3 permanent line change: --%
Notice:
1. If adding 0.2–0.3% silica fume, it can obvious lower water demand and improve the strength in drying, medium temperature;
2. The sample is totally not through special shock, only doing the operation of increasing or decreasing materials during pouring into mould.
3. After testing, we think grain composition of this sample which needs optimization and upgrade.
