Product Description

 

3.1   Corn cleaning unit

The raw material are weighted and conveyed into Corn Hopper, then convey through conveyor and bucket elevator into raw material silo. The corn is inspected and cob, dust, chaff and foreign material are removed. Then weight the materials and convey into clean corn silo. Corn will be hydraulically or mechanically transported to the steeps.

3.2       Corn steeping unit

 

Corn steeping processis done in Sulphurous acid solution with reverse current. Normally it is a half continuous process. Corn material is steeped in otal 8-12 steeping tanks, steeping solution are pumped into the tanks, cycling through the tanks one by one, to keep new Sulphurous acid solutions are in contact with corn material that been steeped for longest time, and new steeping materials are in contact with the solutions that will be exhausted, so that to realize best steeping effect. The solution that finished steeping process (diluted corn slurry) contains 7% - 9% dry content, will be transfered into CSL-Concentration Unit for concentration to make corn slurry that has over 40% dry content.

 

3.3     Corn milling/germ separating unit

 

 

 

After steeping process, corn material is transferred into Wet corn soli through de-stoner, and then will be broke into 4-6 pcs by 1st stage Degerming mill, after which the quantity of whole corn will be less than 1%, 75% - 85% germ will be separated, and 20% - 25% starch will be released. The broken corn will be pumped into 1st stage Degerming cyclone, germ will flow into washing system from the top of Degerming cyclone, and the bottom flow will go through a sieve, materials been sieved will be transferred to 2nd stage Degerming mill, after which corn will be broke into 10 – 12 pcs. At this stage the slurry should not contain whole pcs of corn, and the junction state germ is less than 0.3%. The slurry after two stage Degerming mill process will be pumped into 2nd stage Degerming mill, from which the top flow slurry will be combined with the slurry from 1st stage Degerming mill and flow into 1st stage Degerming cyclone, the bottom flow will be transferred to fine milling process.

 

3.4       Starch concentration/refining unit

 

Crude starch milk from the dewatering screen ahead of the fine mill and from the first stage fibre washing is combined. It is transferred through Desanding cyclone and Rotary filter, then fed into main centrifuge for gluten and starch. The top flow is fed into disk separator, bottom flow is fed into 12 stage Cyclone separator for reverst current washing. The washing water is fresh water. After washing by 12 stage Cyclone separator the moisture content of starch is 60%, then fed into Starch slurry tank for dewatering. The top flow water from 1st stage hydrocyclone unit works as the water for main centrifuge.

 

 

 

3.5       Gluten dewatering and drying unit

 

The gluten from main centrifuge top flow have about 2% solid content, will go through filter and enter Gluten disk separator, the top flow of which is processing water, have 0.25% - 0.5% solid content, will enter process water tank, for germ and fiber washing; the bottom flow of which is concentrated gluten water (have about 15% solid content), after dewatering by Vacuum drum filter, wet protein (have 50%-55% moisture content) could be obtained. After drying process, the protein could be packed for delivery.

 

3.6   Starch Washing and Fine Fibre Unit

 

Starch slurry are fed into Starch slurry tank with agitator for storage. It will be pumped by starch pump at the bottom of the tank into peeler centrifuge for dewatering.

 

The dewatered starch cake will be conveyed to the inlet of flash dryer, then transfer to Starch raiser. The heat source of the flash dryer is steam heat exchanger. The moisture content of wet starch will evaporate after been heated by hot air. After drying, starch will be separated from air in Cyclone separator. The bottom of Cyclone separator is sealed by airlocker. The wet air will be exhaused from Cyclone separator.

 

3.7   Germ dewatering and drying unit

 

 

 

The germ from the top flow of 1st stage Degerming cyclone, after washed through 3 stages bend sieve (moisture content over 75%), enters germ dewatering device, at which stage the moisture content will be reduced to about 55%, then will be fed into dryer.

 

 

 

 

 

3.8   Fiber dewatering and dryingunit

 

 

 

Fibers and bran on the surface of sieve go at the reverse direction of washing water, move from the first sieve to sieves after it, after several stages sieving, will be discharged from the last stage bend sieve, dewatered and transfer to fiber feed processing unit.

 

 

 

Wet fiber, germ cake and corn slurry are combined together for drying, after the moisture content reduce to 12%, start granue making process, the materials will be made into 21% protein content fiber feedstaff and delivered.

 

 

 

3.9   CSL-concentration unit

 

 The diluted corn slurry that has 5% - 7% solid content are concentrated to 45% - 50% solid content, after drying in CSL evaporator. It will then combine with wet fiber and germ cake, dryed and deliver as feedstaff.
