Mushrooms produced here have passed the authentication of pollution-free agricultural products by Department of Agriculture of Henan province for three consecutive years. Due to their natural and non-polluted excellent quality, mushrooms produced here have obtained many awards at home and abroad and also have been awarded to be officially national geography indication protection products! Zhang Shuting, the academician, who is the international expert in the field of Mycota, highly praised XiXia mushrooms.
Nowadays this place has become the largest distributing center and processing center of mushrooms in the whole country. The annual turnover is more than 2 billion Yuan. Each year the output of mushrooms from here accounts for above 70% of the output of dry mushrooms through the whole country, and the export volume accounts for more than 1/3 of the whole country. Thus all these make this place the status of price formation center and export supply distributing center of dry mushrooms.
1. From 1999 to 2001, in the international agriculture fair our mushrooms are awarded as the famous brand products, and the Chinese edible fungi association also awarded us "Top Ten Commodities Base County" and "Top Ten Best Famous Brand Products".
2. in 2002, we were identified as "national gardening products (mushroom) export demonstration area" by the ministry of agriculture and the ministry of foreign trade and economic cooperation.
3. Our mushroom base has obtained the authentication of non-polluted mushroom demonstration base of Henan province.
4. We were awarded the titles of "China science and technology demonstration county of pollution-free edible fungi ", and "pollution-free agricultural products" by the ministry of agriculture, China fruit and vegetable association, the national specialty economy development center.
In 2007, the export volume of mushrooms reached 8000 tons, accounting for 1/3 of the whole country. They are mainly exported to Japan, South Korea, and the United States and became the largest production base and export base of mushrooms throughout the country.
In 2008 our mushrooms were officially listed into the national standardized demonstration area projects, and won the praise of the geography symbol protection products by AQSIQ(General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine)
