Introduction:
Persimmon Calyx is the dried persistent calyx of Dioxpyros kaki L.f. (Fam. Ebenaceae), The drug is collected in winter when the fruit is ripe wash clean, and dried in the sun.
It can send down adverse flow of Qi to arrest hiccups In treating hiccups due to stomach-cold, the drug can be used in combination with Flos Syzygii Aromatici and Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens. In treating hiccups due to stomach-heat, the drug can be used in combination with Caulis Bambusae in Taeniam, Haematitum, etc.
