About material (Stainless steel)
The stainless steel planters/flower pots usually used for outdoor,such as streets,gardens or others.So the material would be good at rust and corrostion.stainless steel 304 is the best ,because of its composition.
Stainless steel 201would be rust easily for outdoor, especially after raining.
The best way to know 304 and 201 is magnets.304 has not magnetism,but 201 has. If the material stick to the magnets,it would be 201.And vice versa
Someone also use 202 instead of 304,becauset hey are very similar.Sometimes we can’t find difference between them.The only way is using a special liquid to test.
About thickness of stainless steel
There are two types in Chinese market,standerd and non-standerd.The big difference is the thickness.
Normally thickness of stainless steel material,1.0mm would be 0.91-0.93mm in actual,1.5mm would be 1.35-1.41mm,2.0mm would be1.81-1.85mm. Most suppliers use non-standerd material,because it is cheaper. Actually,for non-standerd material,1.0mm would be 0.73mm,1.5mm would be 1.15-1.20mm,2.0mm would be 1.65mm,tolerance is bigger,so the price will be cheap.
Our company use the material from South Korea"s Posco,the thickness is standerd,so the price is little higher than others.
About surface treatment of material
Brushed is better for outdoor,it can hidse small nicks and damages.Moreover,it is easier for maintenance.
Mirror is more pretty than brushed actually,but it is bad for maintenance,and will be easy to see if has small nicks.
