Seki is the famous town make cutleries, make it about 780 years ago. Because there were high quality soil, pine charcoal, and water of Nagara river and Tsubo river necessary for the making of sword in Seki, many swordsmiths came to Seki. It is the beginning of making of knife of Seki. It is said that it’s not break, bend, and it could cut so cleanly, the knife of Seki spreadout in thewhole country.
