Soy Granules are obtained from Indian NON-GMO clean,healthy, golden yellow soybeans by the process of de-hulling, flaking, extracting, desolventizing/drying, and grinding in a pneu-matic mill to requisite particle size to get a fine powder of white to creamish color. This powder is then passed through extru-sion and granulation system to obtain desired sizes, shapes,color, and texture to suit all customer application. Texturized Soya Protein commonly known as TSP is made with high pro-tein and low calorific value and can be fortified to meet specific nutritional needs as per requirement. It adds variety to vegetar-ian products and provides functional tolerability when used as meat extender. It has almost no fat content with zero cholesterol, which makes TSP’s a very healthy choice. Further it is quick to cook and its protein content is equal or higher than that of meat.
Soy Granules with excellent meat like fibrous texture are suitable in many vegetarian foods like ham, nuggets, hamburger, sausage, duck analogue, goose analogue, beefsteak, and marine analogue products.Soy Granules can also be used as a low cost/high nutrition extender in comminuted meat, poultry products, and in tuna fish salads. Food service, retail, and institutional (primarily school lunch and correctional facilities) regularly use such “extended” products. Soy Granules has special characteristics like reduction in cooking shrinkage by 10-15%, improvement in succulence, texture and nutritional profile in processed meat products, along with improving shelf life.
