Material:base and lantern made from natural stained teak wood with handweaving karen fabric, natural stencil pattern and stitching with linin fabric

Dimension: H 150 cm with diameter 43 cm

Development of hand woven cotton dyed with natural colors of Doi Tao village Chiangmai Province, has intent to keep original characteristics of Karen villagers. However, the collection introduces new fabrics with new fancy yarns of cotton/lotus fibers, cotton/galangal fibers and cotton/pineapple fibers etc. Weaving technique is unique by using small backstrap weaving tool only found in highland villages of northern Thailand. The fabrics are produced with natural dyed yarns, then batik painted with Stencil technique and sewn on with linen fabrics to give visual effects.
