Currently being used by professional nugget hunters across the Western United States, the 17EM is ideally suited for seeking out new patches or for pulling smaller nuggets at depth on hammered ground. This coil combines ample amounts of both sensitivity and depth making it one of the most versatile coils on the market. It is larger in diameter for added ground coverage, but because of its’ elliptical shape it is considerably more maneuverable in brush and rocks. The 17EM can easily grab those ? gram (and smaller) bits of gold off the bedrock while still having the ability to reach out on the bigger nuggets at well over a foot!

This coil falls into the Super-Lite class, which means it is spoked in design. The center portion has been essentially hollowed out to dramatically reduce the weight, which means you will be able to detect longer with less arm fatigue. The newly designed skid plates are custom molded to fit the support struts of the coil and offer maximum protection. A serious coil built for the serious prospector!
