How it works
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a kind of light with high energy and broad wavelength, within the range
from 420nm to 1200nm. Intense Pulsed Light with broad spectrum affects pigmentations, vascular
lesions and hair follicles. Photochemical and photochemical action will be triggered by the radiation of IPL.
Pigment is shattered and eliminated out of body through metabolism. Meanwhile, IPL will also promote collagen production, which can make the skin more flexible and smooth. 1.Who is suitable for SHR?
SHR is designed to suit everyone, especially those who failed conventional light based hair removal systems such as IPL or Lasers. SHR will help you achieve less or no hair on those areas that trouble you. It is suitable for all skin types, even on dark toned skin and sensitive skin. It also works on light coloured and fine hair.
2.Is it painful?
No, it is not painful. It is a very comfortable procedure that can be used on the most sensitive body parts like Brazilian or Bikini. This is recommended for people with lower pain threshold.
3.How many sessions are required?
We recommend a minimum of 6 sessions per zone and each session on a monthly interval basis. For those who are slightly more hairy, they may need up to 10 sessions.
4.How do I prepare for my hair removal session?
Avoid tanning the area to be treated for at least 7 days prior to treatment. Do not scrub or wax the areas to be treated for at least 7 days. If you develop rashes or itch over the areas to be treated, please inform your doctor or therapist to postpone your treatment.
5.What should I do after each session?
Typically you will have slight redness over the treated areas for a few hours to one day. Apply soothing moisturizer post treatment. Apply sunscreen over the area. Avoid picking or scratching the area treated.
6.How long must I wait for the next session?
Depending on the hair re-growth cycle, you can return 4-6 weeks for the next session.
7.Is SHR hair removal permanent?
SHR hair removal targets the deeply seated hair follicles and permanently damage them as opposed to shaving, waxing, hair removal creams which only serve to remove the hair shaft. Unless you have gone through hormonal imbalances caused by pregnancy, menopause, intake of hormone pills, most people enjoy permanent hair reduction/removal.
