【SETTING THE THERMOMETER BEFORE YOUR FIRST MEASUREMENT】
1.Set C/F unit
a)Turn off the unit
b)Press the I/O/S button for 2 seconds, then the C/F will flash. Press the "” or “” to choose it.
If do not need to set the other parameter, leave the C/F unit stop flashing, then turn it off.
If need to set Date, Time, Alarm clock, press the I/O/S button to confirm the set, and enter the next setting.
2.Set the Date
a)After choosing the C/F unit, press I/O/S to confirm the C/F unit, and enter the Date setting.First the Date (Year) will flash, press the “” or “” to choose the right Year.
b)Press the I/O/S button to confirm the Date (Year) setting and the Date(Month) will flash, then press the “” or “” to choose the right Date (Month).
c)Press the I/O/S button to confirm the Date(Month) setting and the Date (Day) will flash, then press the “” or “” to choose the right Date (Day)
3.Set the TIME
a)After choosing the right Date (Day), press the I/O/S button to confirm it and enter the TIME setting.
b)The Time(Hour) will flash, press I/O/S button to confirm it, press the “” or “” to choose the right Time(Hour).
c)Press I/O/S button to confirm the Time(Hour) setting and the Time(Minute) will flash, press the “” or “” to choose the right Time(Minute).
4.Set the Alarm Clock
a)After choosing the right Time(Minute), press the I/O/S button to confirm it and enter the Alarm Clock setting.
b)The Alarm Clock(Hour) will flash, press the “” or “” to choose the right Alarm Clock(Hour).
c)Press I/O/S button to confirm the Alarm Clock(Hour) setting and the Alarm Clock(Minute) will flash, press the “” or “” to choose the right Alarm Clock(Minute).
d)Press I/O/S button to confirm the Alarm Clock(Minute) and then press the I/O/S button to finish the setting and turn it off.
5.Turn On/Off the Alarm Clock
a)After confirmed the Alarm Clock, when the icon is flashing, press “” or “” to Turn it On/Off.
b)Press I/O/S button to confirm the Alarm Clock On/Off.
How to Measure Basal Body Temperature?
Basal temperature is the temperature of a specific body part right after waking up. It can be used as a reliable method for determining ovulation and is especially popular among women trying to conceive.
Start measuring BBT during the first day of your monthly menstrual cycle. The equipment needed for the procedure is basic.
You will also need a chart showing temperature during each day of your cycle. Such charts can be discovered online, or download the free APP from the Apple Store or Google play store. The best part about these is that you can also keep track of other occurrences during your cycle that can help you determining your ovulation with precision.
BBT must be measured directly after you wake up. This means opening your eyes and getting a hold of the thermometer. You need to measure BBT before washing your teeth, drinking coffee and getting ready for work.
To get precise readings, you need to measure basal body temperature at the same hour each day.
Get started during the first day of your cycle, that is the first day during which you get a menstrual bleeding. Measure your temperature in the morning and record the number in your BBT chart.
The typical pre-ovulation BBT will vary between 36.1 and 36.8 degrees Celsius, though these figures can be strictly individual. The important thing is to notice a change during one day of your menstrual cycle. This high temperature should remain unchanged for at least three days – your ovulation period. A rule of thumb is that temperature after ovulation will remain above 36.5 degrees Celsius.
