High Accuracy/Digital Gem Refractometer /Jewelry tool RI: 1.400~3.000 nD
Introduction:
DG-501 Gem Digital Refractometer is for measuring the gem refractive index of an unknown gem stones, it is covering the full range from 1.40 to 3.00. It gives a quick and reliable differentiation of diamonds and imitations colored stones from their many imitations.
Calibration:
If the instrument has been subjected to rough handling in shipment , or if your environments is very different in temperature,calibration adjustment may require.
- Turn on the “ ON” button
- Press “TEST” button until the “CAL” appears
- When the screen display “1.487”, place scale sample (1.487) on test platform, then press test button; now the screen display “1.806”, place scale sample (1.806) on the test platform, then press test button again.
- When the screen display “END”, the calibration is finished.
Operation Instruction:
- Prepare: Please clean the gem stone and the test platform carefully before using. Any dust or fingerprint will effect the testing result.
- Put the Sample: Turn on the refractometer, then the screen display “0.000”, placed your sample on the center of the test platform. Make sure the gem is centered.
- Test: Press the button “Test”, you can get the testing result and distinguish what kind of stone is.
Notification:
It is really very important to clean the sample and test platform before using.
