2200kva Off- circuit tap changing OFWF arc furnace transformer
Steelmaking electric arc furnace transformer is a special transformer designed specially for steelmaking using electric arc furnace which has special requirement for power source.
It is used to smelt high quality steel, alloy steel, aluminum silicate refractory fiber.
Electric arc furnace transformer shares characteristics with normal transformer, and it also meet special requirements for steelmaking process. Electric arc furnace transformer has some overload capacity and short circuit proof mechanical strength. Electric arc furnace transformer got two types of voltage regulation methods: voltage regulation with load type and voltage regulation with no excitation type. For voltage regulation with load type, electric arc furnace transformer doesn’t have series electric reactor. For voltage regulation with no excitation type, electric arc furnace transformer got two types of structures: with series electric reactor and without series electric reactor. Both structures can change impedance under the condition of highest secondary voltage. The first structure change impedance by engaging and disengaging series electric reactor. The secondary structure change impedance by changing connection method of high voltage winding of electric arc furnace.
